Releasing an albatross Our expenses are staggering, exceeding $28,000 last year alone! Major costs are for food, which is especially expensive for birds of prey, and for veterinary services, such as x-rays and surgeries. The cost of feeding our education birds alone is over $5,600 per year. Other expenses include phone services, other foods and medical supplies, and housing.

Meeting these costs is a constant concern, and we approach it from many directions. Donations come primarily from individuals in the public sector who bring us wildlife, visit our booths at events or are audiences in presentations. Costs that are not covered in these ways are met with funds from our own pockets. We would very much appreciate your help to further our goal of the preservation of our native wildlife and the environmentally-conscious education of the public.
