Christina accepting a donation at a art gallery event

Our expenses are staggering! Our major costs are for food, which is especially expensive for birds of prey, and for veterinary services, such as x-rays and surgeries. The cost of feeding our education birds alone is over $7,000 per year. Other expenses include phone services, other foods and medical supplies, and housing.  Meeting these costs is a constant concern, and we approach it from many directions.

Donations come primarily from individuals in the public sector who bring us wildlife, or those who visit our booths at events or are audience members in our wildlife presentations. SBWR has received some corporate and foundation grants as well as some corporate payroll deductions and matching donations.

Costs that are not covered are paid for out of our own pockets.   We would very much appreciate your help to further our goal of the preservation of our native wildlife and the environmentally-conscious education of the public.

We are a 501c3 corporation (Tax ID # 330587769) so your contribution is tax deductible.
